ON THE ROLE OF THE ECONOMICS MODEL IN RATIONALIZING OPERATIONAL DECISIONS: FRESH EVIDENCE FROM IRAQI BANKS

Abstract

The research aims to determine the amount of intellectual deficiency in the elements of traditional accounting thought in its construction of the accounting theories that frame the mechanism of making the accounting figure as information compared to the new elements of thought in light of the economics model, and to analyze the contents of this model and its philosophy. After conducting a field survey of a group of Iraqi companies with the aim of identifying the sample that suffers from the research problem at hand, Iraqi banks were chosen as a sample for the current study. Research concluded economics model can help rationalize operational decisions through the method of acquiring scientific knowledge according to the perspective of the new scientific vision and the method of starting with how to access this scientific knowledge using the hypothetical deductive approach based on the idea of ​​science growth to build a comprehensive accounting theory under the name of information economics approach in order to build new theories for the production of accounting information and not theories for producing accounting data.
