EXPLORING HEALTHCARE EXCELLENCE: A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF MEDICAL TOURISM IN DELHI & NCR, INDIA

Abstract

Background: The global landscape of medical tourism has witnessed a significant shift with India emerging as a prominent destination. Understanding these factors is crucial for healthcare providers, policymakers, and marketers to optimize strategies and enhance the country's position in the competitive medical tourism sector.

Research Methodology: The survey collected responses from 100 individuals seeking medical treatment in Delhi & NCR through convenience sampling.

Findings: This survey explores key factors influencing the choice of India, with a focus on Delhi & NCR, as a medical tourism destination. Respondents identified cost-effectiveness, high-quality healthcare, advanced technology, and recommendations as crucial considerations. The reputation of medical facilities, specialized expertise, and infrastructure emerged as pivotal aspects in decision-making. While a majority perceived India's overall reputation positively, a significant percentage expressed concerns.
